Net Promoter Score Definition
Net Promoter Score (NPS) is an attempt to distill into a single value, what users of a company’s products think of it. Users are asked a single question along the lines of “How likely are you to recommend this product to a friend or coworker?”, which is the question used by the UserStories.com website. A product’s NPS is determined by subtracting the percentage of people unlikely to recommend the product (0-6) from those likely to do so (9-10). Select Scope Manager helps developers automate their eXtreme Programming development (XP), speeding the delivery of business critical applications. Using XP (Extreme Programming) significantly reduces development cycle time and costs.
Simply put, XP applies minimalist practices and scope management to software development. XP is based around rapid decision making and development feedback. This can be difficult to achieve without an accurate quantitative view of development. Select Scope Manager automates XP project tracking through Story and Task scope management.
Select Scope Manager enables stories, ideas, documents and analysis to be logged. This then allows development teams to estimate and detail the tasks required. Stories can then be selected and assigned to releases, based on resources and risks.
Each Story then follows its own (defined) development process (each development process is defined on a project by project basis). During the development, progress is monitored and scope is adjusted accordingly. Task sheets, project plans, timesheets, velocities, work breakdown charts and project roadmaps are all generated automatically.
